Search Address Auto-complete setting

Feature to have the address to auto-complete the zip code based on your location database is available with the Premier/Enterprise or the Experience add-on

When 2 or more characters are typed in the address input box,  input suggestions based on location data will appear.

  • None (default) – do not suggest address input.
  • Zipcode – suggest matching zip codes.
  • With Premier or SLP SaaS Enterprise you can also have a zip code drop down selector

If the formatting of the autocomplete is not  the way you would like it to appear, reset the Search Form Style under appearance layout.

Locator Styling determines how the auto-complete drop down box will appear on your page.

Q. What is the difference between a shortcode and locator layout settings?

A.    A shortcode is a WordPress-specific code that lets you do nifty things with very little effort.  Shortcodes can embed files or create objects that would normally require lots of complicated, ugly code in just one line.   In other words, a Shortcode = shortcut.

Use Dial Link For Phone Setting

Included in MySLP Professional and WPSLP Experience.

Find it under Settings | Results | Results Interaction

When the Use Dial Link for Phone Setting is checked it will make the phone number in your locations results clickable to auto dial by adding a tel: based hyperlink.

The dial-ready hyperlink will be used wherever the [slp_location] shortcode is used.   This includes the results under the map, directory landing pages, and in Store Pages if the [slp_location] shortcode is used instead of the [storepage field=”phone”] shortcode.

Extensions Pause

Use along with the Phone Extension Delimiter setting to handle pauses for extensions.

Formerly labelled: Make a Dial Link Phone number (clickable)

Locator Widgets

Store Locator Plus Widgets are included in the Experience Add On. This add-on pack creates new widgets that can be used to connect to the Store Locator Plus map or location data on your site from any widget-enabled area in your  theme.

SLP Search Form

The SLP Search widget places an interactive zip/address search box in any widget location on your site. A search initiated from the widget will direct the user to the Store Locator Plus map page that you have specified.

Map Page URL

The URL for the page on your site where you want the user to end up. The page should have the SLPLUS shortcode for rendering the Store Locator Plus map. For example http://localhost/?page_id=8 or https://localhost/locations/ if you have SEO-friendly page URLs enabled in the permalinks settings.

Search Label

The label to precede the input box, or if ‘use placeholder’ is set, the text to use as a placeholder.

Button Label

The text for the submit button.

Use Placeholder

When checked the label will be placed inside the input box as a placeholder.

Radius

Show locations within this radius from the zip code/address the user input.

Widget for States

The SLP States widget places a drop down list of the states or provinces where you have active locations. The user selects a state and presses the submit button to be redirected to a page with a Store Locator Plus map in place.

Widget for Cities

The cities widget provides a drop down list of cities based on your Store Locator Plus locations.   Users can select a city where you have locations and be directed to your locator map to get directions or other details.

MAP: Info Bubble

Bubble Layout

The bubble layout setting allows you to change the content and layout of the popup information bubble that appears when someone clicks a map marker or in the results below the map or hover.  There are additional functionality such as “Hide Info Bubble” if you have Enterprise Level or Premier subscription

For the PLUG-In  do t yourself version of Store Locator Plus you will need the Experience add-on and use  shortcodes. These are not generic WordPress shortcodes.  For the SLP SaaS customers you will need to have a Professional or Enterprise level Plan to change layouts.

All of the bubble layout shortcodes follow this syntax:
