The Store Locator Plus plugin is now part of the WordPress Translate project. You can get the current status of the Store Locator Plus translations on the WordPress Translation website. If you would like to see the plugin fully translated into your language, please send a request to be added to the WordPress translate team for your language. As soon as a language reaches 100% completion for the stable release of the Store Locator Plus plugin, the custom language files will be removed from Store Locator Plus and be replaced by the more-efficient Translate system.
For the Store Locator Plus add-on packs, the custom language files are still being used. You can use a variety of language translation plugins and tools to create the proper WordPress .po and .mo files for each of the Store Locator Plus add-on packs. If you create a .po or .mo file, please send it along via email to support@<this web domain> and it will be added to the next update of the add-on pack. Any user that contributes an updated translation can request another add-on pack which will be sent to you at no-charge.
Google Interface Languages
The following languages can be selected to determine the default language to be used when requesting locations from the Google map search and for the user interface elements on the Google Map. This does not impact the language in which the locations are returned, that is determined by the data you enter for the location. This also does not impact the admin interface or search form labels or search form defaults. The base plugin as well as the Exeprience add-on packs can adjust the search and results label. The admin interface and default strings for most application settings is determined by the language translation files in the base plugin or add-on pack directories. The easiest way to create of modify a language file is to use the Loco Translate plugin. Create a translation file (.po and .mo) file and send it in to me and I will give you a free premium add-on pack for each new accurate translation file.
The Google map languages currently supported include:
- English (Australian)
- English (Great Britain)
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Portuguese (Portugal)
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Chinese (Traditional)
